The Macon-Bibb Mayor’s Literacy Alliance has been established in partnership with the Macon-Bibb Government, Central Georgia Technical College, and the Bibb County School District.
THE VISION
To create a Macon-Bibb literacy network to increase the graduation rate, decrease the drop-out rate, and lower the adult illiteracy rate by 50% over 10 years; thus, impacting the quality of education, community growth, and quality of life for citizens in the Macon-Bibb Community.
MISSION
To develop a Mayor’s Alliance on literacy that will serve as an umbrella for key organizations from public and private sectors of Macon-Bibb to establish a Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP).
